Shining stars hanging over
Drunken handlebars.
With pink-eyed skies
Under blue-skied goodbyes.
And heart racing heights,
And hard-hatted knights.
Under lazy summer breezes
And half-hearted ‘Please’s
Next to rustling sheets,
With mud-caked cleats.
Yolk yellow clouds,
Gray faceless crowds.
Cherry vanilla ice,
Marshmallow candied dice.
Sweet shallow kisses,
Strawberry blisses,
Under sweet pea dreams
And invisible streams.
Skies eyed pink with treats,
Oh, those summer sweets.
